Origins

The Panotios is one of a race of creatures with origins in Greek mythology, legend and folklore. Specifically, accounts of their existence first arose in Natural History (a work written by Pliny the Elder).

Appearance

Panotioi appear to be very closely related to humans--any eye or skin color, or hair color, length or texture may occur within them, as can occur in other like humanoids.

Though, there is a very noticeable distinction that sets them apart in appearance from true humans. Their ears are gigantic. In fact, their ears are so large, that they take up a great portion of Panotios body weight (estimated between 20 and 40%, to be more precise).

To accommodate such large appendages, the connective tissue of a Panotios ear often much further down along the face than most other humanoids (in some cases, extending down behind the jawline). Likewise, the muscles which allow a Panotios to wiggle their ears are much more pronounced.

Otherwise, attire can range from Ancient Greek to Ancient Roman to Medieval European.
