|Alternate Names/Spellings||Cornish Owlman, Owlman, Owlman of Mawnan|
The Owl Man is one of a race of creatures with origins in English cryptozoology. In particular, accounts of its existence first arose as recent as 1976, in the village of Mawnan, Cornwall. And reports of spottings have persisted until as recently as 2009.
It has been compared, in many instances, to America's Mothman, in the region of Point Pleasant, Virginia.
