Origins

The Gorgas is one of a race with origins in Greek and Roman mythology, legend and folklore. Specifically, accounts of their existence first arose in Natural History (a work written by Pliny the Elder).

Appearance

The Gorgades' women are said to be covered, entirely head to toe, with body hair. This is more than merely natural human outgrowth. Many liken the hair coverage to that of an ape, or say that they resemble human-sized Yeti.

Though, it should be said, aside from the prodigious hair growth, neither Gorgas men or women have any other features that are simian, ape-like or otherwise bestial in nature.

The hair of a Gorgas, depending on the region they inhabit, may vary in color and texture, as that of any other mundane human ethnicity.
