Origins[]
The Lord of the Animals is a creature with origins in the mythology, legend and folklore of cultures all around the world. However, the view on their nature varies greatly from culture to culture.
In some instances, they are mysterious solitary spirits, with a powerful, yet enigmatic connection to the wilderness, hunters, foragers and the spirits of animals (as is the case with Herne the Hunter). In other cases, they are believed to be connected to the group of spirits known as the Wild Hunt.
Though, some cultures have even been known to revere the Lord of the Animals (or Lady of the Animals) as divine.
