Origins
The Adze is a creature with origins in the mythology, legend and folklore of from Africa. In particular, accounts of their existence arise among the Ewe tribes from Togo and Ghana.
Appearance
They tend to look like normal African people.
Behavior
The adze would possess people in various situations. These situations include: a woman with a brother (especially if the brother and his children were better off than they), an old person (then the young would start dying and the old were staying alive), and a poor person (especially if they hated/envied the rich).
Abilities
The adze, when in human form, can possess people. In firefly form, they can slip into houses and suck a person's blood. Those that the adze feeds from will get sick and die.
